Volunteer Moffat School, Moffat CO. 81143 Initiated a volunteer community project promoting appropriate art in public places. Coordinated efforts with the school and 15 fifth graders in designing and painting an outdoor mural on the exterior of the school. Highlighted in the Valley Courier, the local paper.

Project Coordinator San Luis Valley Boys and Girls Club Alamosa, CO 81001. Designed and implemented a 3-day mural project working with grades 1 through 5. Over 60 kids participated in creating this removable, 60 foot mural, whose theme was "Home and Community.

Professional Artist Colorado Council of the Arts & Humanities, Denver, CO 80210 WE; CARE, ( the ; is part of the logo.) the San Luis Valley mural project. One of 2 full time artists hired to create this privately funded project. Leo Tanguma, nationally renowned muralist whose works also grace DIA,( Denver International Airport) designed the mural. This 30' by 14' traveling, freestanding mural concerning water and resources problems in the San Luis Valley was exhibited all over the state as an educational exhibit. Upon completion of the project, I was then responsible for promoting and advocating the project at the Colorado Community College.

Owner- Spirit in Art Established fine and commercial art business " SPIRIT IN ART. " Provided commercial design and layout. Sign painting with on building specialty, custom greeting cards, murals, portraits, landscapes and private art lessons.

Art Instructor San Luis Valley Board of Cooperative Services, Alamosa, CO 81101. Designed curriculum for and taught the "Gifted and Talented" art program for middle and high school at risk students. All students who began this program completed the program. Students showed markedly improved attendance for all classes. One student was so motivated she went to summer school to facilitate graduating with her class. Another went on to become a professional artist.
